Andrew Davidson


Andrew Davidson is an Australian theatre director and musician based in London. He studied directing at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (Sydney) and music at Longy School of Music (Boston).

Recent directing highlights include Handel’s Xerxes (London) and Sondheim’s Into the Woods (Singapore). He has directed plays by Tony Kushner, Mark Ravenhill, and Tennessee Williams.

Opera credits include Mozart’s The Magic Flute (Adelaide) and a staged version of Thomas Adès’ Life Story (Sydney), as well as assisting for Opera Australia.

Andrew is a pianist, composer, and sound designer with credits for theatre, musicals, and dance.

Andrew is a Teaching Fellow at Guildford School of Acting (GSA), an Associate Lecturer at Drama Centre London, and a Visiting Artist at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore. He has also worked at Arts Ed, Bristol Old Vic, and Trinity Laban.
